Dimitris Pagonis is an exceptional professional with a 30 year oil and gas downstream industry career which strongly reflects leadership qualifications and distinctive ”hands on” expertise in Business, IT Systems, Project and Sales of Services and IT solutions.

For the last seven years he worked as Head of Sales /Senior International Sales Manager based in Hamburg, Germany, at a globally operating consulting and software group. During this time he developed new business opportunities, as well as acquiring and managing some of the most prominent and active companies in the sector.

He is a regular presenter at many industry events both introducing innovative IT products and services and sharing experiences and best practices from his customers’ success stories.

He began his career at MOBIL Hellas as an analyst and developer of bespoke solutions for sales marketing, terminals and refineries before joining the MOBIL Europe team implementing one of the first ever SAP oil and gas industry solutions on the R/2 platform on European soil. He later moved to London to become one of the SAP oil and gas experts in the downstream area. As SAP was further evolving the Industry solution oil on the R/3 platform he was a driving force behind some of the developments on the platform that later became industry standards.

As solution Architect for Shell Europe he worked on more than 30 Projects in the EMEA region where SAP industry solution Oil was in focus, having as responsibility to design and implement integrated end to end Supply Chain processes. He advanced to Project Management leading one of the major projects connecting dozens of terminals and refineries to the SAP global platform in the DACH region. He progressed to the Sustain and Improve Lead role for Shell Distribution DACH with primary emphasis on business cost efficiency improvements of systems and processes, preparation of IT infrastructure and project execution of divestment projects.

His vision in founding Roicéad was to drive business solutions aiming to meet a multiplicity of customer needs for the downstream sector. He possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements combined with great knowledge, expertise in all technical areas of SAP and peripheral applications and systems such as logistics, retail networks, terminals and refineries. He is noted for his proficiency in presales and sales activities as well as strong project account management skills.

Dimitris Pagonis was born in Greece and studied Physics at Patras University, but decided early on that IT and Business were a more suitable career path to follow. He has been living in Hamburg, Germany since 1999 and he is married with two children.
